The Grounding Butterfly Lock Washer is a specially designed washer that combines anti-loosening properties and grounding functions for applications where it is necessary to ensure both electrical connection and mechanical fastening. This type of washer gets its name from its butterfly-like shape and its design with an anti-loosening mechanism, usually with six claw-shaped protrusions or tooth patterns on one or both sides of the washer, which increase friction with the surface to which it is attached, thus preventing the bolt or screw from loosening under vibration or dynamic loads.
The upper surface of this washer may be toothed to provide good contact resistance, making it suitable for use in appliances such as appliances, elevators, mechanical equipment, etc., where reliable grounding is required. The six-jaw design on the underside of the surface embeds these jaws into the substrate when the fastener is tightened, creating a mechanical lock that prevents loosening caused by rotation.
